Wall Cork Board Makeover

Walking through my grandma’s garage last summer, I noticed a wall cork board. It brought back a lot of memories! You see, growing up, it was a fixture in my bedroom. For as long as I can remember, it hung on my bedroom wall and I would hang up pictures, concert tickets, and other memorabilia on it. When dad said it had been sitting there for years and noone else in the family wanted it, I immediately decided it needed to go home with me!

The only problem was that it didn’t quite fit my decor, and the cork board wasn’t in the best condition. No problem! I gave it a quick coat of white paint and covered the cork board with wine corks.

Here’s its transformation… I love how it turned out and it now happily hangs in our kitchen!

And FYI, no, I have not finished up that many bottles of wine in my lifetime. I actually turned to ebay and purchased 300 used corks. We used every single one of them!

It looks even better in person. It barely resembles the original. I love the transformation!
